3rd & 5th Avenues update 12/10/2024

3^rd Avenue

Installation of delineation devices on the cycle track has been completed to the point that striping operations started this week. The remaining striping and permanent signage may take 3 to 4 weeks, but looking forward for the cycle track to be completed.

5^th Avenue

The drainage work on Encanto Blvd at 5^th Avenue has been completed.

The pavement reconstruction on the west side of 5^th Avenue is on track and the base pavement lift on that side will be completed by the end of the week. There will be a traffic flip as we are scheduled to begin the reconstruction of the east side starting with milling and removal of the pavement surface this weekend. The plan is to have the base pavement layer by the end of the month before the holidays, and the final pavement lift to begin in January of 2025 for the length of the project.
