January 2025 3rd/5th Avenues Update

3rd Avenue: We are coming down the home stretch on 3rd Avenue now and should be finished by the end of January. Please expect:
- The crystal sand pellets on the green areas will be swept up as the construction clean-up process continues.
- Permanent STOP signs for 3rd Avenue/Encanto Blvd.
- I asked the City to make the parking strips larger and more prominent.
STOP signs are installed. This is a significant traffic pattern change. I watched 12 cars earlier today, and 11 of them did STOP.
(similar signs will be installed on 5th/Encanto Blvd later)
5th Avenue: Buckle up: expect 5th Avenue to be under major construction south of Encanto Blvd over the next 2 weeks. Traffic deviations and closures will occur.
Major construction to continue on 5th Avenue into early 2025. I will post specific details soon. Expect traffic deviations.
