Followup Questions for City
Published on 01/05/2026 • Posted in 3rd and 5th Avenues, General Interest
I have not posted any information on 3rd/5th in the last 3 months, as many of us have been busy with HB 2721 and our efforts to save our neighborhood from destruction.
I have chatted with many residents at recent Happy Hours, Board Meetings, Save Willo Meetings, and on the Willo Bus to City Hall last fall regarding 3rd/5th Avenue.
As volunteers, we try to do our best, and feedback is appreciated.
As a result, I have asked the City to update me on the following:
- Updated plans for the intersection of 5th Avenue and McDowell, as well as Almeria to McDowell, as requested modifications to striping, turn lanes, and safety signals. (2nd request)
- Updated plans for the intersection of 3rd Avenue from Edgemont up through Thomas, through the Hospital area.
- Updated plans for 5th Avenue south of Encanto Blvd regarding the white bump outs (they are not white any longer) and to provide reflectors, and or the maintenance plan of the bump outs (I know..too many tire marks on them) 2nd request.
Anyone is welcome to join the 3rd/5th Avenue Commitee.
As a gentle reminder, the Willo Treasury paid ZERO for 3rd/5th Avenue project.
I will have an update at Thursday’s Board Meeting.
Thank you for being part of Willo.
