Willo Architectural Photo Book

THE OFFICIAL WILLO PHOTO BOOK PROJECT IS ON ITS WAY.       

Our volunteer photographers have begun taking pictures of homes street by street. The intent is to photograph as many houses as possible for potential inclusion in the book. Because Willo is one of Phoenix’s most iconic historic neighborhoods, two-hundred full-color pages will serve to document its unique character. From its origins to the present, a proposed informative narrative history of Willo will complement the photos.

The committee would like to hear from you if your home was built before 1910-1920. Also, reach out to us if your house has unique architectural features or historic interest. In particular, we are looking for older home tour brochures and copies of Inside Willo magazine dated 2004 and earlier. Diana Herman and James Varela are the committee co-chairs.

The Willo Photo Book is fully funded, has the backing of the Willo Board, and will be available for purchase in the last quarter of 2021. Purchasing a copy will be an excellent way to support your neighborhood. Advance orders of the book support the project and guarantee a pre-release copy. Proceeds from the book’s sale will directly fund unique Willo neighborhood committees like Kid’s Club, Holiday Luminarias, Block Watch, as well as improvements to Walton and Lewis Parks.

The Willo book is an exclusive project of the Willo Neighborhood Association, a nonprofit organization, and produced by Willo resident volunteers to benefit the Willo neighborhood community.
