Community Town Hall – Central Business District

Laura Pastor's office is holding a Community Town Hall on Monday, May 13th from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm to discuss the expansion of the Central Business District. There is a special interest group supporting expanding the Central Business District (Strong Phoenix) which is attempting to remove Historic Preservation, allowing changes from single family home lots to create duplexes, triplexes and potential 4-plexes, removing historic status/tax breaks and more. Their goal also includes rezoning and reuse of the historic AZ State Fairgrounds, which also is protected by historic preservation.
