The city of Phoenix Planning and Development Department’s Historic Preservation Office is pleased to announce the return of grant money availability that could help you with your historic home rehabilitation costs.
The City Council set aside $200,000 from the General Fund for Exterior Rehabilitation grants for the 2025-26 fiscal year. An additional $100,000 is being set aside for this program from the 2023 voter approved GO Bond Fund.
In short, it’s a great time to apply for grant funding, and applications for the new fiscal year are now being accepted!
The program provides 50/50 matching grants up to $20,000 for exterior work on homes that are in city-designated historic districts or individually listed on the city’s historic property register.
Join us to find out more about the grant program and application process at a virtual grant workshop on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
A WebEx meeting link will be provided on the city of Phoenix Historic Preservation Office website approximately 48 hours before the workshop begins. The workshop will also be recorded so it can be viewed afterward, with a link provided on the HP website.
Applications for this round of funding are due by Friday, November 21, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.
